Documentary site,

I'm an NYU student currently working on a class project for our production course on directing short videos. We are currently attempting an experiment with our "fact or fiction" documentaries. Our class has made a series of movies that are meant to skew the lines of reality. On our website we present all the videos and give our viewers the option to guess whether the footage is real or fake.

In our hopes of reaching a wider audience we hope that individuals such as yourself might be willing to feature our website under your posts.

We greatly appreciate any help you may give us.

Thanks,
Hugh McNulty

Hello,

I just wanted to draw your attention to a new documentary being screened at the 7th annual European Independent film festival.

Thomas Simon's "Legalize" presents the hard-hitting facts of the costs to the U.S. of its current marijuana laws and the huge benefits that can be reaped by ending this era's disastrous prohibition Policy. It compares the current failed drug policies with the failed 1920's-era alcohol prohibition, and weaves facts and quotes from political leaders, medical experts and law enforcement agents, pointing conclusively to the urgent need for legalization. The directors make their case for the social and economic desirability of marijuana legalization in a roller-coaster ride of a music video/PSA hybrid.

To check out the trailer click on this link: http://www.filmannex.com/movie/legalize/27533

Thanks for your time!

Sincerely,
Ariana

Hello!

I wanted to share with you a feature doc that I am currently Producing and that we are currently raising post-production funds for (check out our kickstarter here http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cassidyd/barzan-the-movie).

I love the site and thought you would find our film particularly compelling.

The film, "Barzan", is about Sam “Barzan” Malkandi, an Iraqi immigrant to the US and beloved family man, who was working toward his piece of the American Dream in a Seattle suburb. But a footnote in the 9/11 Commission Report, connecting him to a high-level Al-Qaeda operative through his childhood nickname, changed everything. Five years of detention and multiple appeals later, Malkandi was deported back to Iraq--leaving behind a wife and two children.

Our film explores the controversial issues of immigration, xenophobia and the price of security in the 21st century. This film is an epic geopolitical journey from the front lines of the Iran-Iraq War to the refugee camps of Pakistan and finally into the opaque government agencies charged with keeping us safe, even at the cost of freedom.

We are very passionate about our film and want to tell the world about it!

Thank you for letting me post here and I hope you'll take the time to check it out. I really love the site (and am one of your 4,000+ twitter followers!)

Thank you!

Question: When did films of death camps start censoring (blurring)the genitalia of the corpses from the death factories of the3 Nazis?
I know "why".
When did it start?
Who does the censoring?
